Betty's Table of Hope is rooted in over a decade of compassionate community service in Idimu, Lagos, and a conviction that stable meals create pathways to peace and opportunity.
Our Mission
Betty's Table of Hope exists to ensure that no family in Idimu, Lagos goes to bed hungry. We deliver biweekly food packages with dignity, respect, and zero barriers, treating every neighbour as a guest of honour, so families can move from survival toward stability and hope.
Our Vision
A community where every table is full, every neighbour is valued, and the cycle of food insecurity is broken through consistent, compassionate, locally-led service, extending the legacy of Hallelujah Night into a table that never closes.
Born from a December night,
now a year-round table.
In 2011, Prophetess Elizabeth Olufunke Oni of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Olubori founded Hallelujah Night, a December outreach ensuring vulnerable Idimu families, the sick, widows, and mothers with infants could celebrate Christmas with a meal. One participant shared that she had gone 12 years without a Christmas meal until she began attending.
Betty's Table of Hope transforms that legacy into consistent, year-round support, operating twice a month at CAC Olubori. Because food insecurity doesn't take holidays, neither do we. When families can rely on nourishment, they redirect resources toward education, healthcare, and building better lives.

Hallelujah Night Founded
Prophetess Elizabeth Olufunke Oni of CAC Olubori launches an annual December food outreach for Idimu's most vulnerable: the sick, widows, and families with infants.
The Crisis Deepens
UNICEF identifies nearly 25 million Nigerians at high risk of food insecurity. Rising inflation and poverty push Idimu families to the edge.
Laying the Groundwork
Our founder interns as Publicity Chair for United for Kids Foundation, gaining experience in donor engagement and community-driven outreach in Nigeria.
Learning to Serve
Volunteering at So Others May Eat Food Pantry in Washington, D.C. deepens our approach: food service must always be rooted in respect, dignity, and community.
Betty's Table of Hope Opens
On August 1, 2026, the pantry officially opens at CAC Olubori, transforming a seasonal outreach into year-round nourishment for Idimu families.
